y5 Idea Desk by Alumni Educational Solutions provides group learning with room to plan power and data. The layout can leave space at the centre for power and data planning, and casters allow the desks to move between individual and group activities.

Use five-desk groups for shared projects, then move the desks into individual stations. The centre space can be considered when planning power and data access; electrical equipment is specified separately.

Features and configuration options

Work-surface choices: The standard surface is 1 1/8” high-pressure laminate. Optional surfaces include 3/4” high-pressure laminate, or 1 1/8” whiteboard with PVC. Laminate tops use 2 mm PVC edging.
Frame and working height: A fully welded steel perimeter frame supports the top, with telescoping round legs. The standard working height adjusts from 22–30 inches. Additional fixed, junior, ADA-height, standing-height configurations are available.
Storage and organisation: Specify solid or perforated steel pass-through book box, solid or perforated closed steel book box, pass-through wire shelf, or standard width tote rail system. Confirm storage compatibility with the selected desk size.
Floor contact and mobility: marquis nylon swivel and one leg with two black 2” dual wheel locking casters. Other listed glide or caster configurations are available.
Finishes and accessories: The frame uses 100% polyester premium powder coat finish with chrome inserts. Optional Armor Edge is available in limited colours for applicable tops. Bag hooks can be added where listed.
